My name is Andrew McFarlane. I’m a voracious student of IT, who wants to work for a big tech firm like Google. I aspire to become a renowned programmer who specializes in websites and mobile applications. Previously, I taught myself about programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a mobile app I downloaded to my iPhone called, “Mimo”.
Currently, I’m Software Quality Assurance Intern at Digital Alchemy. Previously, I was a Web Development Intern at Hopeworks.
As a Web Intern at Hopeworks I developed WordPress environments using frontend editors and custom CSS. I performed routine maintenance and client updates on existing websites. I developed a game using JavsaScript to assist with trauma informed training. Also, I audited websites for content, accessibility, and bug fixes.
As a Software Quality Assurance Intern at Digital Alchemy I configured two factor authentication (2FA) with hardware token (U2F), administered JIRA for team meetings, attend virtual weekly meetings with team members, investigated pull requests, and manually tested software.
Outside of work I’m a family-oriented guy who likes to learn about new things. My hobbies are reading, watching YouTube content, keeping up with my team (Seton Hall Pirates), listening to good music, and eating a tasty cake.
